 This photograph shows some of the ancient totem poles from Ninstints as they looked in 1901
Photograph taken in 1901 - This photo shows some of the poles erected in the southern part of the village of Ninstints. The village was declared as a World Heritage site in 1981. Some of the poles can be seen in museums - some are still on site and protected by watchmen - others have returned to the earth as was intended.

These poles have been represented in Judi Wild's series of 7 lithographed prints
- recently acquired by the National Archives of Canada
