My Creative Process
I begin by letting my inspiration guide me, often drawing from the wonders of nature and the spiritual connections I feel to the environment. Once I have a clear vision, I create a detailed pencil drawing on illustration board, which serves as the foundation for my watercolor layers.
Using a limited palette and very fine 07 brushes, I apply the transparent watercolors, gradually building up the depth and dimension that my work is known for. The dry-brush technique allows me to create intricate textures and patterns that bring the subject to life, revealing the delightful complexities of the natural world.
As I work, I find myself entering a state of deep focus and inner peace, my mind fully engaged in the task of translating my vision onto the paper. The process is both challenging and rewarding, as I strive to capture the essence of my subject and share my interpretation with the world.
I pour my heart and soul into every piece, drawing upon my years of experience as a draftsperson and graphic designer to enhance and refine my artwork. It is my goal to create paintings that not only showcase the beauty of the natural world but also evoke a sense of reverence and connection in those who view them.
Through my art, I hope to inspire others to appreciate the wonders that surround us and to find the same joy and fulfillment that I have discovered in the creative process. As I continue on this journey, I am eternally grateful for the experiences, influences, and support that have shaped me as an artist and as a person.
